The 2025 Race is complete.

The event was an 8K race on the Yorktown Battlefield on Memorial Day, May 26, 2025.  Registration and awards were at York High School.  The location is a very nice course mostly using the Battlefield Tour Road.  You can see a map of the 2025 8K course at:  Click here to see 8K map

There was bottled water

and refreshments after the

race.  Medals were given to

runners in 26 categories and

cash awards given to the top

three male and female runners in the Open and Master's categories.

The race commemorates Memorial Day and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our freedom.  The Freedom Run is operated by the Yorktown Rotary Club; and all proceeds go to the Yorktown Rotary Foundation to provide scholarships at local high schools, support to a wide range of youth activities and community services, and other assistance.  See the Service Projects page for some examples.
