The Yorktown Freedom Run returned in 2021!  The race was an 8K race on the Yorktown Battlefield on Memorial Day, May 31, 2021.  Unfortunately due to COVID restrictions, the 5K fun run was on hold.  Registration and awards were at York High School.  The location was a very nice course mostly using the Battlefield Tour Road.  You can see a map of the 2021 8K course at:  Click here to see 8K map

All runners received a T-shirt.

There was bottled water and
refreshments after the race.  Medals
were given to runners in 26

categories and cash awards were

given to the top three male and female runners in the Open and Master's categories.

The race commemorates Memorial Day and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our freedom.  The Freedom Run is operated by the Yorktown Rotary Club, and all proceeds go to the Yorktown Rotary Foundation to provide scholarships at local high schools and give support to a wide range of youth and community services as shown on the Community Service page.
