THE 2012 YORKTOWN FREEDOM RUN will start and finish at Grafton High School on Memorial Day, May 28. All
runners will get a T-shirt
with a design worthy of the holiday, and plenty of
refreshments will be available after the race. There will be medals for runners in 26
categories
and cash awards for the top three male and female runners in the Open
and
Master's categories.
The race commemorates Memorial Day and those who have made the ultimate
sacrifice to preserve our freedom. The Freedom Run is operated by the Yorktown Rotary Club, and all proceeds go to
the Yorktown Rotary Foundation to provide scholarships at local high schools
and give support to a wide range of youth and community services as shown on
the Community Service page.
